6612. Fulford, G. A. March 19. Spring wheels.-Relates to the type of wheel which comprises telescopic spokes screwed into a hollow hub containing fluid, such as air or glycerine. The hub is formed with radial tubular projections 10, Fig. 2, into which tubes 1 are screwed. The solid spoke members 1<1> closely fit the tubes 1 throughout the length, are fitted with packing 5, and are screwed into bosses 10 on the rim. Lock-nuts 6 are applied at each end of the spoke.
