Abstract
3039. Edwards, A. C. Feb. 7. Hoods and weather screens.-Between the wind screen and the Victoria or other hood 4 covering the back part of a motor-car is placed a flexible covering 2 attacbed to one end to the hood 4 so that it may be carried by a strap rolled up against the hood when out of use. The free end of the covering carries a light rod 6 which, when the covering is pulled forwards, engages with brackets 8 on the front of the frame 7 of the wind screen. The brackets 8 consist of metal pieces slightly turned downwards and forwards, and may be covered with rubber to prevent rattling. The covering 2 may be shaped so that part falls on each side to form side flaps 9, which are retained in position by straps 10 engaging studs 11 on the frame of the wind screen.
