Making.-Bevelling, creasing, punching, and swaging tools are carried in the order required during the forging of a horseshoe by bars 9, 10, Fig. 3, recessed to fit together at 11 and formed with hand-grips 19. The. bars are held together by top and bottom plates, a centre bolt 15, and eye-bolts 16, which connect with chains carried by a belt taken over pulleys and provided with a balance weight. The apparatus normally hangs so that the tool 20 which is the first to be used is in position over the anvil.
