Abstract
5 3 0. Jumau, L. June 26, 1906, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Copper, refining; gold and silver, obtaining; electrodes.-Pure copper is obtained from a solution of copper salt, prepared by one of the ordinary methods, by heating it with sulphurous acid or a sulphite under pressure. The copper may be fused or compressed into briquettes. These briquettes may be used as anodes in electrolytic refining-vats to remove any gold and silver present from the copper.
