Fire-guards; trivets.- A combined fire-guard and trivet consists of a single rod bent so as to provide a vertical part carrying a screen b, and an horizontal part carry ing a hot-plate or trivet d between the screen and the bars. The trivet may carry a dish, or a hand-iron &c. The form shown is suitable for parlour grates. For kitchen grates, the trivet and screen are at a lower level.
