Abstract
22,229. Weatherford, H. L. Oct. 8. Smoke-consuming steam and water, supplying.- Steam from the boiler 2 is supplied to the furnace 5 through a perforated pipe 10 for the purpose of consuming smoke. To prevent the pipe 10 from being burnt when the fire is being forced, the steam supply is cut off by the valve 11, and water is passed to the pipe from the tank 13. A cut off valve 14 and regulating-valve 15 are provided in the connecting-pipe 12.
