Spring wheels.-The wheel comprises a built-up rim 7, 8, 8<a>, spring spokes 4 adapted to bend transversely to the plane of the wheel, and a series of carriage springs 10 attached to the underside of the rim and adjustably connected to screwed rods 9 screwed (with an opposite thread) into a distancering 3 on the hub. In a modification (not shown), the rods 9 are dispensed with, the ring 3 being extended as a disk with inclined slots in which the connexions with the springs 10 are adjustably fitted. The means of attachment of the spokes to the rim may be of the kind described in Specifications Nos. 14,682 and 26,694, A.D. 1905.
