11,142. Scotts' Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., and Gallagher, W. May 12. Hinged valves; check valves.-Relates to storm valves for the soil pipes of water-closets and the like in ships. The valve 7 is hinged to a removable seating-piece 8 which is held in position by a cover 6, which also forms the angle-piece of the pipe line. This cover is formed with a flat 14 or a ridge which engages with a lug 15 or a slot on the flange of the seating-piece to prevent the latter from turning.
