10,635. Hacking, J. J., and Sparling, R. May 7. Loom lays.-Each lay-sword 7, Fig. 1, has bolted to it a bracket 9 which fits over a flanged bush made in two halves 11. The screws 12 secure the pieces 11 to the pin 6, which projects from the bracket 1, bolted to the loom frame 2. The piece 9 has lubricating-holes 17, connected together by a cross-channel 16. In a modification, a pair of pins 6 are replaced by a single rod 13, Fig. 3, which extends from side to side of the loom, and is secured by nuts 15. Lateral motion of the lay-swords may be prevented by fixed collars used in addition to, or in place of, the flanged bushes.
