Pleating. - F o r suspending and gathering a curtain in folds, a narrow band of fabric, Fig. 1, is secured to the curtain, the fabric being woven round one or more free cords or tapes f in such a way that the cords are raised and depressed at intervals along the band of fabric. In addition, small loops, to which the curtain hooks are attached, may be woven in the band of fabric, the hooks being attached to the free cords f, as shown in Fig. 4, when the fabric is not provided with loops.
