Abstract
6168. Parsler, F. March 14. Paperhangers' tools.- An apparatus for stretching and holding in position wall-papers s & c . during the process of hanging comprises a piece a of wood carrying end clips c, c'. One clip c is the end part of a rod e, bent to the shape of the groove in which it lies, and connected to a swinging hand-lever g. The other clip c<1> is fixed in the piece a of wood, and rests on a cam-shaped block h, also connected to the lever g. The clips are normally brought against the edge of the piece of wood, to grip the wall-paper by springs f, g'. When the lever g is pressed to the left, the cam h rides up the incline h', while the bent part of the rod e rides up the incline e<2>, thus releasing the wall-paper from the clips.
