Angle pieces, junction pieces, and the like; spigot- and-socket joints.-To facilitate repairing and making joints in cables laid in spigot-and-socket jointed conduits, intermediate sections 2 are introduced, these sections being divided in an horizontal plane containing the axis of the conduit but the lower half being provided with a trough 6 at each side to receive flanges 8 on the upper half, Fig. 7. When the parts are placed together, the channels 6 may be filled with Portland cement, bitumen, or the like. The invention may be applied to conduits having more than one duct, as shown in Fig. 7, and, as shown in Figs. 1 and 3, junction boxes and drawing-in boxes are similarly constructed.
