Rail-cleaners.-A tramway rail groove cleaner is constituted by a toothed disk A rotatably mounted in a forked rod C, yieldingly mounted in a telescopic or extending frame D secured to the car underframe at E. The stem portion C' of the rod C passes through a sliding cross-bar D<1> and a fixed cross-bar D<2> of the frame D, and is pressed downwards by a spring F. The fork C can rotate slightly under the control of springs H to accommodate itself to curves. Holes g and pins G, G<1> provide both for adjustment and for swinging the cleaner up out of use.
