The blades are feathered by a longitudinally-sliding shaft A, which passes through a hollow shaft B, and is actuated by a collar E sliding on the shaft B. Bushes C, having quick threads of opposite hand, are secured on the shaft B, and are fitted with nuts D. By applying a friction brake to one or other of the nuts, the rod A is moved in one or other direction.
