Chairs.-Railway chairs are made in two portions a, b which are connected together by the form of joint described in Specification No. 13,737, A.D. 1901, [Abridgment Class Buildings &c.], which comprises a doubly-tapered and dovetailed tongue d and a corresponding socket e. The tongue portion d is inserted in the top of the socket e, and the parts are slid together so that the web of the rail is gripped between the chair jaws.
