22,743. Dole, E. P. Nov. 15, 1904, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Bottles, non-refillable.-Relates to non-refillable bottles and particularly to valves thereof. The valve casing consists of a sleeve 12, having an open top, a closed bottom, and lateral ports 14. The valve consists of a short sliding tube 15, open at both ends, adapted to interlock with, and to be held closed by, a conical weight 18. The weight operates within a conical cap, which is formed with liquid ports 22 and is provided at its apex with an orifice 21 to prevent the weight from adhering to the cap. The cap and the sleeve 12 fit accurately together, and are held in the bottle neck by a ring 22<a> of cork &c. The arrangements to prevent tampering with the valves are described in Specification No. 22,742, A.D. 1905.
