Abstract
16,902. Brossard, J. J. Aug. 21. Washing-machines. - In apparatus, described as for washing feathers and other goods, especially the machine described in Specification No. 18,194, A.D. 1904, the casings within which the treatment is effected are provided with perfora- . tions in the convex parts of the corrugations so as to prevent deterioration to delicate goods and to render the treatment more effective. A drum d has radial perforations g through the convex parts x. When the goods require much washing and rubbing, a longitudinal partition or board e, likewise corrugated and perforated, is provided to fit diametrically, as shown, The end edges of the partition may engage grooves, guides, or sliding ribs provided at each end of the casing. Access is thus readily attained, by means of a hinged cover f, to either side of the partition, and the partition may be withdrawn when not required. It is held securely in position by a nut or other device at each end.
