Abstract

14,217. Schriber, J. July 10. Cutting-out.-Patterns for a coat or waistcoat consist of four pieces. The part A, Fig. 1, represents the blank cut out to form the back and sides of a waistcoat, and is made up into the body of the garment by sewing together the edges 2. to form shoulder seams, and also the edges 5 to form side seams. Portions 6 are cut away for the reception of the pockets. The part D, Fig. 2, forms a sleeve by sewing together edges 7. The collar is cut to the shape shown in Fig. 4, and consists of a main part, with a reinforcing piece C. sewn on between the niches 8<1>, 8". The collar is folded down along the dotted line B<1>.
