Abstract

7750. Bell, R. April 12. Antifouling - compositions.-Surfaces to be protected from fouling or to be rendered antiseptic are first coated with paint, varnish, or the like, and then, before this coating is dry, are covered with a layer of sulphur or other impalpable, insoluble, sterilizing-agent by means of compressed air. The process is applicable to ships, piles, piers, and the like, and to hospitals, urinals, water-closets, &c.
