Stoppers. - A stopper for spirit flasks &c. comprises a hinged cap a, within which is secured a slotted bush b, containing an internally-threaded sliding liner e adapted to engage external threads on the neck of the vessel. The position of the liner in the bush is regulated by a spring g or a set-screw h, or both. The spherical portion of the cap a is only loosely secured in the hinged collar i by the flange j, so that, by turning the cap a, the bush b and liner e. are also turned to screw the liner on to the neck. The liner is connected to the bush by projections on the liner which fit the slots of the bush.
