6148. Payne, H. C. March 23. Vaporizers ; inhalers. - A n appliance for medicating air for inflating the Eustachian canal and treating disorders of the nose, lungs, ears, &c. consists of a vessel A, with inlet and outlet openings and provided with a core H, formed with spiral grooves J and surrounded with absor bent material K. Air is forced from the bulb G through the spiral grooves, and becomes charged with the volatile medicament with which the material K is saturated. In modifications, the bulb may be replaced by a mouthpiece, and the vessel may be filled with absorbent material, a spiral groove being formed in the wall of the vessel or in the absorbent.
