Abstract
5468. Williams, H. W. March 15. Straps and bands. - A device for securing children in mail carts, perambulators, chairs, cots, and the like consists of two straps or bands a, b connected together as shown and formed into loops a', b<1> at the sides. The parts a<3>, b' pass over the shoulders, and the parts a<2>, b<2> round the waist, being secured in the front by a buckle or other fastening. A separate strap passes through the loops a<1>, b', and is secured to the mail cart &c. The bands may be stitched or otherwise connected at g, and the loops a', b<1> may be replaced by rings.
