Lavatory basins.-A semicircular pipe e is placed round the basin, Fig. 1, and terminates in perforated nozzles f. On turning on the cocks c, c<1> of the hot and cold water supply pipes a, a<1>, a spray of the form shown is obtained, by which the face may be washed leaving the hands free. In Fig. 4, the supply is represented as drawn from a receptacle b. This may be controlled by hand or by foot, or water may be contained in a double-walled back of the stand. The vessel b may be made to fold back and be suspended from the wall or the like. It may be connected to the spraying-device by a flexible tube.
