Rotary machines; cutting-apparatus ; feeding- apparatus for webs; inking-apparatus; printing on wrappers.-In a machine for printing on a roll of wrapping-paper, the printing-apparatus, having an ink duct, inking-rollers, and printing-roller mounted on a frame, the inking-rollers being movable between the ink duct and the printing-roller, is so supported that it may be pressed, when desired, against the roll of paper while the latter is being unwound, so as to print any desired matter on the piece of paper about to be cut off. Above the roll of paper a, Fig. 1, slides a bar c, guided by slots b<4>, and against the front edge c<2> of which the piece of paper for wrapping-up is cut off. The spring-controlled printing-roller f is supported in the frame d', d<3>, pivoted to the bar c, and rests normally with the type uppermost, the pin f<2> on the roller being kept by the spring in contact with the pin f<3> on the frame.
