Abstract

25,519. Dafforn, F. C. Nov. 23. Incandescent lamps ; supporting lamps. - A n imitation candle has a detachable bulb h, which rests on the top of an opal glass tube a and is prevented from turning by engaging with the top of a rod b which passes up the inside of the tube a. The base of the tube has an extension c, provided with a cap d for attachment to a holder, and the upper end of the tube may be shaped to receive the lower portion h<1> of the bulb. Loops g on the leading-in wires are connected to wires f which pass down the tube a to conductors e. The connecting-wires f may be straight, or have convolutions to assist in keeping them taut. In the construction shown, the supporting-rod b is tubular, of rectangular or other section. It may, however, be solid and fit into a recess on the bulb, or may be solid with a socket at the upper end.
