Abstract

Bookbinding.-In a method of sewing, as shown in Fig. 1, the threads are fastened at each side of the tapes at the kettle stitches instead of being knotted only at the end kettle stitch. The sewing is commenced from one end at the kettle stitch, and at the first tape the thread is knotted to the thread with which the preceding section is sewn, and the thread is also knotted similarly at the other side of the tape, and so on.
