Sewing-machines; governing needle and under threads.- Two or more tension-devices acting separately on a sewing- thread are arranged to be released simultaneously. The tension-devices acting on needle and under threads, respectively, may also be arranged to be released simultaneously. The release may be occasioned by the raising of the presser. The invention is described in connexion with a two-needle double-lock stitching-machine in which each under-thread is released simultaneously at two points. The presser-lifting lever 4 is linked to a lever 10, 12 which has wedge pieces 13 for separating the two tension disks 5 of the two needle threads, and is connected by a plate 14 to a rod 15 having secured upon it wedge pieces 21 for separating the two tension disks 6 of the two under threads and a finger 19 for separating the threadnipping fingers which also control the under thread.
