Abstract

Winding-machines.-The castiron winding-cone 10 of cop-winding machines is provided with a removab!e lining 14 of stamped sheet metal, preferably steel, which can be readily removed and replaced with a fresh one when it becomes grooved by the thread. The edges of the lining are folded over the edges of the slit, and it is provided with a flange 16 to prevent it from passing too far into the cone.
