Rond-and-rail wheels.- In the motor or other vehicle wheel shown in section in the Figure, the portion A of the rim is adapted for running on ordinary roads, the stepped portion B for use on railways, while, for use on tramways, a split spring ring D, with abutting or overlapping ends, normally seated in a recess C on the part A, is expanded by any means so as to engage in the groove of the rail. In a modification (not shown), a flanged railway wheel may be bolted to the other part of the wheel.
