Abstract
11,792. Warry, J. May 24. Regenerative incandescent gas lamps.-Mantles 1, made of annular shape with inner walls 2 and outer walls 15, are mounted on steatite or like rings 4, 5, which are preferably connected by arms 11,12. An ordinary mantle, suspended from the ring 5, may be substituted for the double mantle 1, the ring 4 being then dispensed with. The three bunsen tubes 18, 19, 20 forming the burner, depend from a common supply pipe 17, and are fitted with gauze discs 33 to prevent the flame from flashing back. The mixing-chambers are heated by the products of combustion, which pass up a central flue tube or opening 16 to the casing 29, whence they escape through a tube or tubes 38.
