Abstract
11,326. Liebhaber, E. D. de. May 17. Liquid surface-treating compositions.-In order to prevent dust, the road is sprinkled with a mixture of aqueous solutions of calcium and magnesium chlorides. The solution may be employed instead of water in making macadam roads, and also to prevent the formation of ice on the road. Potassium permanganate or some other suitable disinfectant may be added to the solution. In the Provisional Specification, it is stated that calcium chloride may be employed in the powdered form and spread on the roads and may be mixed with some substance capable of making it adhere to the roads.
