Incandescent lamps.-A lamp having three filaments, controlled individually by three switches, is made of a conical form with a reflecting inner surface, as shown in section in Fig. 3. The hollow conical bulb is silvered on the inner surface, and filled in with plaster of Paris or other substance. The filaments 15, 16, 17 are connected by wires running through tubes 24, 25, 26 to contacts in the cap of the lamp. As shown diagrammatically in Fig. 8, the filament 15 is connected at one end to the cap 29, and at the other to a central pin 30, the other filaments being connected to the spaced contacts 34, 35, 36, 37. The holder 31' is fitted with a plate having a series of pairs of contacts 49-54, one half of which are connected to the feed wires 32, 33 and the others to the spaced contacts 38-42, which engage with the contacts on the cap, the contact 50 being connected to the screwed collar. Three knife switches, each having two blades insulated from one another, are pivoted in the holder.
