3415. Warrington, H., and Warrington, H. J., [trading as Warrington & Son, H.]. Feb. 11. Kilns or ovens; flues.-In ovens or kilns for baking bricks &c., the waste heat from one oven is utilized for the preliminary heating of a second oven. The ovens a, a<x> are connected by flues b<1>, b<2> with a chimney b, and by a flue a<2> with each other. When the oven a is in operation and the oven a<x> is charged, the dampers in the flue b<1> are closed, and the dampers in flues a', b<2> are opened, so that the hot gases from the oven a pass through the oven ax.
