762. Greaves, W. M. Jan. 12. Smoke-consuming.- Behind the firebridge of a steam-generator furnace, a reticulated partition F is built up of a series of prismatic tubes which are laid in position by hand. The lower portion of the furnace between the bridge and the partition is provided with a lining E upon the edge of which the tubes are placed so that the passages are tilted with respect to the furnace. A second partition H may also be fitted.
