520. Bradbury, L. Jan. 8. Teeth, artificial.- In constructing dentures without palate plates, the undivided part of a piece of metal wire A, which is slit down its centre for a portion of its length, is cemented into the tooth root, and a metal tube soldered or vulcanized to the denture is slipped over the divided part of the wire. A small flat piece of wire having a head to form a wedge, is then driven down between the arms of the wire, the head being large enough to close the outer end of the tube. By inserting a lancet &c. between the top of the tube and the bead of the wedge, the denture may be easily removed.
