Abstract
Dental crowns and bridges which can be welded together in the mouth are made of an alloy with a high content of titanium, pref. 80-99.0% Ti. A central cap or crown to suit the shape of the tooth is made by a cast or press technique and has one or two laminae to join to one or two neighbouring teeth. The inside surfaces of the laminae have small pimples suitable for projection welding.
