Two metal cases a, b, serving both as handles and casings for the apparatus, are separated by an insulating-ring c of vulcanite or ebonite, the former case being screwed to the ring, while the latter is removable. The case a contains a cell d, the zinc electrode e of which is connected by a contact-spring o and wire leads to a metal disc n. The other electrode f communicates with the primary coil i of an iuduction apparatus, the terminals of the secondary coil h being attached to the cases a, b respectively. The apparatus is actuated by means of a push g, and is used with the handle either united or separated. It is stated to be specially adapted for curative purposes.
