Abstract
26,178. Bingham, L. J. Nov. 30. Exercising-apparatus.-Fig. 1 shows the palm of an exercising-glove or band developer. The body is made of cotton &c., while pieces of silk are inserted at the joints to permit of free movement. The glove is reinforced with stiffening-pieces g of leather or metal, to which are attached eyelets f, f<1>, f', &c. Elastic bands k are hooked to the eyelets, and passed through guide-holes in the manner shown. Their opposite ends are attached to a wrist strap d. A similar arrangement is applied to the back of the glove. Bent wire guides i are fitted to the palm. Elastic bands may be applied to the eyelets on the edge of the hand in a similar way. The eyelets may be revolved in order to receive transverse bands to connect the fingers.
