Abstract

22,264. Cohen & Sons, B., and Rutter, W. Oct. 15. Furniture, folding; sideboards.-Sideboards and other articles of furniture are formed in sections which are adapted to be connected or disconnected. For this purpose, fasteners, provided with screw shanks b, Fig. 3, and projecting heads c, are employed. The fastener is screwed into one of the parts d to be connected, and a recess f, partly covered by a plate g, is formed in the other part e to receive the head of the fastener. In this way the back of a sideboard may be attached to the rest of the frame. Instead of a recess, a slot, large enough to admit the head c, may be formed in the part e, and the fastener, which projects beyond the surface h, may be turned to cause the head to bear against a plate arranged around the slot.
