Abstract
16,257. Spray, W. B. A. July 23. Pulley-blocks.-The two sides of the frame are hinged together at M and connected at their other ends by a spring catch, so that it is possible to open the frame, and thus readily place the pulley on a rope, band, &c. at any desired point. The frame comprises two U -shaped pieces A, to which the side plates E are riveted, and which are hinged together by the bolt M at their upper ends and carry the pulley spindle D in their other or U-ends. A bracket X, riveted to one of the sides of the frame, holds the pulley in place when the other side is lifted, and an extension J of this bracket is notched to engage the spring-pressed levers I forming the catch.
