During compression, the heel f<4> of the tumbler is pressed by the bed-plate a, so as to force the stop-face f<5> against the die stop-face c'. On raising the die c, the tumblers f are carried by their own weight into the position shown in Fig. 2, thereby removing the forming- pieces f<2> from the recesses.
