12,079. Kozian, J. May 27. Loom stop - motions.-The object is to stop the loom after a certain length of fabric or a particular part of the pattern has been woven. A chain 20 driven from the sand roller 22 is provided with catches or stops 21, which, at the proper time, lift a forked lever 12. The lever 12 is adjustably carried by a cam-disc 13 near the lower end of a spring lever 4, the upper end of which carries a hammer 6, ard the lower a spring hook 17, which is normally held out of engagement with the projection 16 on the lay 15 by a nose on the cam-disc 13. When the lever 12 is raised by the catch 21, the spring hook 17 is released and brought into the path of the projection 16 so that, on the next beatup of the lay, the lever 4 is turned, and the hammer 6 releases the stop-rod 26. The lever 12 may be connected by a lifting-wire 33 with the dobby or jacquard of the loom.
