Abstract
8937. Willis, P. R. J., [Kennedy, A.]. April 21. Range-finders.-Two slotted plates 8 are hinged to the plate 1, which may be attached to the barrel of a rifle or to a gun, and which is formed with spring tongues 4, serving to hold the plates in position. The slots are provided with' a suitable number of notches, which are numbered consecutively from the numbers 0, 0 at the end near the plate 1. The lengths of the slots are so related that if the notches 0, 0 and, say, the notches 6, 6 are, respectively, in alignment with the same object, that object will be 600 yards away. The finder may be used separately from the rifle or gun.
