8643. Fels, S. S. April 16 Advertising.-Consists of a folding stand for displaying printed advertisements. The frame may be made of heavy pasteboard, sheet metal, and, in some instances, of wood. Pieces 1, 2 are arranged back to back, as shown, and sewn or otherwise fastened along the lines x-x. Advertising-cards 5 may be slipped into the pockets 4, so as to show through the aperture 3. The pieces 1, 2 are adapted to be bent on the lines y-y, the bent portions being connected by the projecting ears 9 and slots 7. When unfolded and ready for transportation, pieces 1, 2 are flat. Pieces 1, 2 may be extended upward to form a top similar to the base, in which case, the card 5 is slipped in from the side, and the sections 8<a>, 7<a> are connected by the projecting ears 9<a> and corresponding slots. The stand may be made from a single piece of material bent at the top, and, in this case also, the card is slipped in from the side. The frame may display on its body the advertising-matter of dealers in a particular line of goods, and the cards of retail dealers may be placed in the pocket.
