Centrifugal governors for gas engines comprise a weighted lever G<3> which is pivoted at G' to the flywheel and rotates by its movement a sleeve G' on the crank shaft A<4> A helical slot in the sleeve works over a pin in the shaft which gives it a movement along the shaft ; this movement is transmitted to the throttle valve.
