Abstract

5006. Green, F. H. March 4. Frames; motor cycles.-Consists in constructing the frames of motor bicycles, tricycles, and other cycles so as to allow the tubes to be used as a reservoir for oil or spirit, and is shown applied to a motor bicycle. The sockets d, e of the steering- head brackets are connected by a tube o which places the tubes f, g in communication, the sockets of the saddle-pillar bracket b have holes n which place the tubes f, i, k in communication, the sockets of the back-wheel brackets have spaces p which place the tubes i, j in communication, and the sockets of the bottom bracket have passages m through the metal which place the tubes g, k, j in communication with one another but not with the crank-axle tube l. The liquid may be introduced at the seat-pillar bracket, and is fed to the motor through a cock r. In a modification, the passages m and spaces p are replaced by tubes q.
