Abstract

15,020. Br³derle, J. July 5. Signals, flag, for military signalling, are made with jointed frames for folding up to facilitate transport. The foot 3 is linked to the central rod 2, the lateral arms 4, 5, 6, 7 connect the central rod with the side rods 8, 9, while the square flag is fixed by its edges to the side rods. The flag folds so that the foot 3 and side rods 8, 9 rest along the central rod 2. A blade spring 10 secures the foot in position when the flag is opened out. According to the Provisional Specification, the central rod is fixed to a sleeve which slides in the handle tube. The handle tube has a slit to receive a guiding-pin of the sleeve, which has a bottom plate and disc serving as an abutment for a spiral spring inside the handle tube. A rod terminating in a knob projects from the sleeve disc through the bottom of the handle tube, and a stop pin is provided near the upper end of the rod.
