Along the lines where the belt is bent to form a trough, the coat is thickened so as to lengthen the life of the belt, and the fabric insertion is correspondingly thinner along these lines so that the belt is of uniform thickness. The belt is preferably formed in this way on both sides, so that it may be turned, when worn, on one side, or may be used on both sides simultaneously as at A, B.
