Rotary machines.- Relates to machines for printing a web or webs in black oi in colours and so arranged as to give access to the parts and to occupy a minimum space. In Fig. 3 two printing- mechanisms are shown each capable of perfecting two webs x<1>, x<2>, with folding and delivery mechanism F, G and F<1>, G<1> between them, but one of these and its folding-mechanism may be used alone as a complete machine. The perfecting printing-mechanisms A<1>, A<2>, A<3>, A<4> each consist of impression cylinders i, i<1> with forme cylinders t, t', the forme cylinders of each group being arranged outside the impression cylinders and in radial lines from a common centre. The inking-mechanisms 10 are also arranged in diagonal positions, so that spaces S, S<1>. R are left for giving access to the parts. Each group of printing-mechanisma may perfect two webs x<1>, x<2> issuing from the reels X<1>, X<2>, the webs passing as shown in the Figure, and the webs may be led directly to either of the folders F, F<1>, so that a large variety of products may be obtained. The webs may be slit by slitters 80, 81 and associated by turning-bars 70, 71 before passing to the folders. Or each group of printing-mechanisms may be used for printing one web in colours. An additional printing-cylinder may be provided in the space R, so that a web may be printed twice on one side by passing it successively between the two pairs of cylinders i, t, and then three times on the other side by the pairs of cylinders i<1>, t<1> and the additional printing-cylinder.
