7687. Jackson, W. April 1. Tea.-Relates to apparatus for rolling tea-leaf and the like. Fig. 1 shows an elevation with some staves removed. The ends B fitted with suitable doors for charging and discharging, are united by rods c and are provided with races c<4>, which are engaged by the ends of the sliding staves C, thus forming a closed chamber, which is of oval or other non-circular section. The staves C are made with external teeth c<3>, which gear with the driving-wheels E, and are provided internally with waved or other suitable projections, or wirework, for operating on the tea-leaf. The chamber may be tilted or reversed by turning the wormwheel i.
